At the start of this blog I'll try to implement a help section. Friends sometimes asked me to look something up for them and I kinda enjoyed it, and it also gives me the opportunity to stay on track with the latest updates in traveling. So here's the part where you can basically ask me anything and I'll try to answer it. Please be as specific as you can (see the bottom of the page)! Do so by sending an email to following address:
This can range from “I need to go there and there, do you have tips for me”, “What are your tips for this and this city” to even a “Hey dude, I just wanna go away next month for a couple of days, but I have a limited budget. Can you recommend me a cheap flight to a cool city?”. I don't really have an idea whether this will be successful or not, but, let's give it a shot.
Some general tips that can be useful: Go and gain access to a creditcard, you will need it. Get your own, or use the card of your parents, your neighbours or friends. And be flexible if you want to save money. The more demands you have, the more you will have to pay. The last tip I can think of for now is to do your research, the interwebs is full of information, spend some of your time on Google or on travelsites like Wikitravel.
Answers on the following questions can help me in giving the best advice possible:
- Where do you wanna start your trip? (homecity / specific airport / surrounding airports within X kms)
- Where do you wanna go? (specific city, just anywhere, roadtrip in area X)
- When do you wanna go? (specific time, certain months, any weekend, anyday)
- How do you wanna go? (plane, train, busses)
- What is your budget? (in total, for flight only, for flight and accomodation)
- How many people are travelling?
Please note: answering a question like 'I wanna go away for any weekend in April to any city as long as the flight+hotel are below 125€' is way easier than finding a cheap solution to sleep in a hotel on the Champs Elysees during the finish of the Tour the France for example.
